I hear Kinski didn't sleep much. That may explain his grand madness.

Christian Dior Fall/Winter 2010

Lanvin Fall/Winter 2010Top: Christian Dior Fall/Winter 2010; Bottom: Lanvin Fall/Winter 2010

Two collections that I always have tremendous respect for, but never really identified with until this fashion week. Times like these I really, badly wish I was French, and I don't know how else to express it.

From one of my favorite albums, this was Wolfgang Tillman's directorial debut ...
Goldfrapp is very enigmatic and versatile; they've got everything from fag-fabulous jams to more subtle, synth-y ambient soundscapes.

Yay for Labor Day weekend! Everyone seems to be in a great mood to get the next three days off for some fun in the sun. I myself will be attending the annual FYF Fest to see some bands play and sweat my face off in the LA heat.

This whole story is super rad. There are some photos that remind me of something else. I will elaborate in entries to come. I want Lavender hair!

Days of Being Wild. Beautiful cinematography. Impeccable soundtrack. Felt a bit long at times, but that doesn't mean I didn't enjoy it. It only conveyed the realism of it more. I had so many favorite moments it's hard to talk about them all–the way Maggie Cheung's character's hair would fall and cover her face, the sticky humidity of Hong Kong summer that came through in every scene, the dim light that flickered on Leslie Cheung's face in his last moments before death, and definitely this part:

This part is extremely crucial. Observe Tony Leung looking so fucking cool, pretty much gnawing on his cigarette as if it's a toothpick while he goes about doing the quotidian tasks.
