Lis Rhodes: Light Music
...As the bands of light and dark pass through the projector they are ‘read’ as audio, creating an intense soundtrack, forming a direct, indexical relationship between the sonic and the visual. What one hears is the aural equivalent to the flickering patterns on the screens.
Don't know if I personally would read deep into gender meanings but this looks phenomenologically intriguing...and I am always about that.
I hate being sick. I have to get well so I can make the most of Frieze and museums while I'm here.
