Brian Eno on Inspiration

"And that's what being creative is really: it's noticing when something interesting is starting to happen and then building on it and asking yourself, 'Where can I go with this?'
...
It's like Louis Pasteur said, 'Chance favours the prepared mind.' My version of that is 'Luck is being ready', because luck is about noticing chances and acting on them..."
— BRIAN ENO, ARTIST AND MUSICIAN

Brian Eno is a legend. He has produced countless gems as a musician, not to mention his work with Roxy Music, David Bowie, and David Byrne. I have tremendous respect and admiration for his work, and this really caught my eye while flipping through an old issue of The Fantastic Man a couple months ago.

It's not easy being productively creative. For me, all the hard work is finally pouring out, with three August magazine covers and few more campaigns and editorials that will be published later in September ...

After months of toiling around the world with a little carryon, I am finally staying put, at least for this week, so I can work on some music and other endeavors that doesn't start with the letter 'f'. This all thanks to a badly sprained injury on my left ankle while shooting in Korea two weeks ago ... NOT how I wanted to go into my holiday, but what can you do? I really do hope that I can soon have enough materials to share.

Just spent a few minutes reading through your blog while on my lunch break. I enjoy your writing and hope you will keep updating on your travels! I am glad, as superficial as it may seem for only knowing of you half an hour ago, to see that your efforts and work are not spent in vain. I wish you continued success, health and happiness!
